Dr. Diana Chavkin is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) specialist who currently sees patients at HRC Fertility in West Los Angeles. She provides patient-centered, compassionate treatments for individuals who want to begin or add to their families. She offers counseling for individuals seeking to learn more about their specific fertility potential and helps them to make decisions regarding family planning.
Dr. Chavkin has a special interest in working with women with decreased fertility due to advanced reproductive age, male factor infertility, tubal factor infertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She offers egg freezing and other options for women who wish to preserve their fertility for either social reasons or in the setting of a cancer diagnosis. She also helps single individuals and same sex couples become parents.
She is a highly experienced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeon trained in the most meticulous and minimally invasive microsurgical techniques that are crucial for women trying to conceive. She treats uterine fibroids, polyps and mullerian anomalies such as uterine septums. She also treats conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic adhesive disease, hydrosalpinges and ovarian cysts.
Dr. Chavkin earned her medical degree from New York University and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology as well as her REI fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a degree in psychology and history.
Prior to her medical career, she worked as a middle school math and science teacher in New York City public schools where she honed her compassionate and educational approach to healthcare. Dr. Chavkin has authored many research papers in renowned medical journals as well as book chapters and is active in multiple professional organizations including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. She has received multiple peer reviewed awards such as Top Doctors Los Angeles and Super Doctors Southern California Rising Stars.
