Pro Bono Program
We are reminded daily of the heartache
suffered by couples suffering from infertility and the absence
of children in their lives. We are also cognizant of the
increasingly exorbitant cost involved in infertility treatment,
particularly when there is a need for collaborative reproduction,
such as surrogacy and egg donation.
For several years now, we have privately
offered our services on a pro bono basis for couples unable
to afford the high cost of legal representation in pursuing
surrogacy, embryo donation and oocyte donation. Since we
are mindful that many couples are not exploring the benefits
of third party reproduction because of the chilling cost
factors, we believe it is incumbent upon professionals in
the industry to make known their commitment to couples unable
to afford these procedures. In this light, we are willing
to represent, without fee, any couple suffering from financial
hardship who contacts us seeking legal representation relative
to a surrogacy or egg donor contract. We do not have any
minimum eligibility criteria to enter the program, nor do
we have a limit on the number of pro bono matters we will
handle.
If you are considering the use of assisted
reproductive technologies and have limited financial resources,
please contact us for more information on our pro bono.
program. In addition to providing the legal representation,
we will endeavor to secure similar commitments from agencies,
physicians and counselors who will also agree to make special
accommodations for financially strained couples who have
no other option other than A.R.T. to begin their families.
